Better Cause Society is a Delta-based charitable organization that recovers useful furniture, provides practical services and helps furnish homes for people rebuilding stability across Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley.
Our story
A simple idea became a community network.
Better Cause Society began in 2019 with a practical belief: quality furniture should not be discarded while people in the same region are trying to establish a home without essential items.
What started as a local effort to recover and redirect useful furniture developed into an organized network connecting donors, service customers, social workers, case managers and community agencies.
Today, BCS combines furniture recovery, paid removal and cleanup services, moving assistance and agency-referred furniture support. This model helps useful items stay in circulation while supporting the real logistics required to inspect, prepare, transport and deliver them responsibly.

Paid Services
BCS provides junk removal, estate cleanups, furniture pickups and moving assistance for residents, organizations and businesses.
Pricing is assessed according to the work involved, including factors such as volume, weight, access, labour and disposal requirements. Clear quotes help customers understand the service before work begins.
Revenue from paid services helps support the people, vehicles, handling and logistics behind furniture recovery and redistribution.
Furniture Support
Furniture support is available through referrals from social workers, case managers and approved community agencies.
This referral process helps BCS understand the household’s needs, coordinate safely and distribute limited inventory fairly. Furniture is subject to availability, and delivery is subject to delivery fees.
Individuals seeking support should connect with an approved professional who can submit a referral on their behalf.
